High School Beginnings

It all started in Ashburn, Virginia, when Andres & Isaac teamed up in high school to create video and design projects for the Thirst Project—a nonprofit dedicated to providing clean water to developing communities. With an ambitious spirit, they organized the biggest charity 3v3 basketball tournament in town, sparking the collaborative energy that would later become BURNING STUDIO.

A Chance Reunion

Years later, Isaac and Andres reconnected over dinner at Cava. Their conversation quickly turned into creative brainstorming, giving birth to the idea for “Midnight Snack,” their first short film. It was a defining moment that reignited the passion they’d always shared.

The Founding of BURNING STUDIO

Inspired by their hometown of Ashburn (affectionately known as “the burn”), they launched BURNING STUDIO as a way to produce meaningful work for the city they love. This new venture combined their enthusiasm for storytelling with a commitment to making an impact.

Building the Future

BURNING STUDIO is now in pre-production on two upcoming short films: "The Color Yellow ," & "Icarus."

With each new project, they strive to push creative boundaries and stay true to our mission: telling stories that spark imagination, fuel community, and honor the place where it all began.
